Have you had a burnout before?

Have you ever had a burnout?

I believe most of us have some "close" if not "actual" burnout from time to time.

Leiter and Maslach (2005, pp.14-19) listed 6 sources of burnout:
1) Workload - work is too complex, too much, too urgent, or just too awful
2) Control issues - from being micromanaged to having ineffective leaders or teams
3) Lack of Reward - Lack of compensation, recognition, or pleasure
4) Absence of Community - absence of colleagues that provide social support
5) Lack of Fairness - little justice & lots of arbitrary (eg. I say so / my way or highway), secretive decision making or worse favoritism
6) Discordant Values - Your values at odds with the organization thus challenging your belief's validity & your self-worth at work (eg. u hate smoking but work in a tobacco coy)
Do you have any of the above issues at work? If so, what do you plan to do?
